 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I moved here 9 months ago and trained at multiple gyms but couldn’t find a healthy community or a professor who truly had my best interest in mind. I didn’t compete for an entire year and almost quit jiu-jitsu altogether.

After joining Maracaba BJJ, everything changed. In just 2–3 months, I found a strong group of friends, an incredibly supportive environment, and coaches—especially Professor Andre—who genuinely care. Because of them, I returned to competing and performed better than I ever thought possible.

Now my 4-year-old son trains here too and looks forward to it every day. Maracaba BJJ isn’t just a gym—it’s a real community. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Maracaba BJJ for almost 2.5 years now and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into shape or start their jiu jitsu journey. There are several jiu jitsu gyms closer to my house and I gladly drive further in order to train here. Everyone at the gym is very welcoming and I’ve built some awesome friendships through training here. I couldn’t be happier with the level of coaching that we get from Andre – the improvements that I’ve seen in my jiu jitsu over the last 2.5 years wouldn’t be possible without him.

The kids class coaches are very patient and thorough with the kiddos. My 6 year old enjoys it, and has made tons of friends in the 2 and a half years of training at Maracaba. My husband and I also train, and we really love it. The gym is clean and very well maintained. Anyone curious about jiu jitsu, should definitely stop by Maracaba!
